HIGH BUILD, HIGH-TEMPERATURE COATINGS PROVIDE CUI AND ATMOSPHERIC CORROSION PROTECTION
A high build, high temperature coating system for protecting carbon- and stainless steel surfaces from CUI (corrosion under insulation) and atmos-pheric corrosion is available from Dampney Company, Inc. of Everett, MA.
Dampney Thurmalox® 225HD Coatings are a two-component, high build, air dry, high temperature, VOC compliant, corrosion inhibitive coating system for protecting carbon- and stainless steel surfaces from CUI and atmospheric corrosion. Ideally suited for surfaces with deep profiles, to eliminate pinpoint rusting, it can withstand continuous temperatures to 1,000°F.
Suitable for OEM, new construction, and maintenance projects, to provide corrosion protection for insulated steel surfaces, Dampney Thurmalox® 225HD Coatings can be applied 4-6 mils per coat by brush or roller onto hot sur-faces up to 450°F and can also be sprayed. Applications include refineries, chemical plants, power generation, petrochemical, and offshore facilities.
Dampney Thurmalox® 225HD Coatings are offered in 1- and 5-gallon kits and larger quantities. Literature and samples are available upon request.
